Kinabalu Park

Gazetted and declared as Malaysia's first World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000 for its beautiful biological attributes, Kinabalu Park is deemed to be a melting pot of natural wonders with over 5, 000 plant species. Kinabalu park is also the walkway to the majestic Mt. Kinabalu.

Kota Kinabalu Wetlands

Dedicated as a bird sanctuary in 1996, Kota Kinabalu Wetlands is a serene refuge and feeding ground for many species of resident birds and migratory species from around Northern Asia. Walk around the park and be amazed at the different species of the sandpiper, Greenshank, egrets, herons and so much more. It has been recorded 80 species of birds are found in the park.

Klias River Cruise

Take a cruise through the Klias River, a Mangrove Forest Reserve and try to spot the interesting looking species of the proboscis monkey, alongside with orangutan, crocodiles, monitor lizards, tree snakes and unique birds. Be even more fascinated later at night, and witness hundreds of fireflies color the skies.

Located 30 minutes away from Kota Kinabalu city, the Lok Kawi Wildlife Park is a family-friendly fun park that has two separate sections; botanical section and the zoological section. Discover the interesting and Borneo origins animals which are the Borneo Pygmy elephants, Proboscis monkey, Malayan tiger, as well as some different species of deer.

Danum Valley

Being remote from human habitation and almost alien to modern civilization makes the Danum Valley Conservation Area is a naturalists’ paradise. Recognized as one of the world’s most complex ecosystem, this forest serves as a natural home for endangered wildlife species such as banteng, Asian elephant, clouded leopard, orang utan, proboscis monkey, as well as a vast range of Sabah’s lowland fauna.

Tabin Wildlife Reserve is home to various endangered wildlife and the place is covered in euryspecies lowland rainforest, Tabin nurtures a colossal number of tropical plants; some of which are rich in medicinal and therapeutic values.
